Owner, DAN JONES, grew up in Georgia, carpet capital of the United States. While attending Georgia State, he began working as a flooring installer to make ends meet. He continued down this path and became a certified flooring inspector and eventually landed in sales. With a relationship focused and forward-thinking mindset, he eventually accomplished his dream of owning his own flooring company on the Monterey Peninsula, Carpets & Floors, Inc.
Dan has established long-term relationships within the design and flooring community. He is a natural problem solver with a witty sense of humor. Throughout his career he continued to stay innovative by attending continuous training, all while leading and developing the next generation of flooring experts. With his creative mind and keen eye for color and design, Dan proudly curated the Carpets & Floors collection for many years. Some of Dan’s most memorable projects have been for the Pebble Beach Company, Big Sur’s Esalen, Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula and designing custom rugs for The Pope’s visit to The Carmel Mission. He also has fond memories of working with local celebrities such as Betty White and Doris Day.
Dan lives on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula with his loving family. Dan enjoys golf, ping-pong and taking his crazy doodle, Sadie, to the beach.
